METHODOLOGY

Target Population: Care givers of Patient with Thalassemia registers in Day Care centre

Accessible Population

Care giver of patiently with thalassemia who care receiving treatment at the Thassemia Day Care centre, APC, OPD, PGIMER, Chandigarh and are available during the period of Data collection

Inclusion Criteria

Care giver willing to give consent for participation and understand English/Hindi/Punjabi

Sampling Technique: Purpose Sampling

Sample Size: Approx 200

Ethical Consideration

Ethical clearence will be obtained from Ethical committe of NINE PGIMER Chandigarh

~Permission will be taken from Head of Thalassemia Day Care centre APC, OPD ,PGIMER, Chandigarh

~Information will be given to ANS incharge of APC, OPD, PGIMER, Chandigarh

Mehod of data collection:Interview and questionaire administration

~Emotional Express: EE scale - 20

~stress: PSS (Perceived Stress Scale) - 10

~Quality of life: CQLI-T

~Coping strategies: Brief COPE - 28


Data Analysis: Descriptive and inferential Analysis

Dissemination of finding: Report writing and publication
